Wearing capes and badges, Jersey City heroes escorted Parth Patel back to school on Wednesday, alongside a crowd of dozens of his classmates.
Patel, 9, is fighting terminal cancer in home hospice. When the Marty Lyons Foundation asked him his one wish, he said he wanted to go back to school.
Patel could only spend an hour in the classroom, so the city’s first responders and his classmates went to great lengths to make sure it was a memorable visit.
